Fab Foyers

Did you know that the foyer was originally designed as a space to keep the cold draft of people entering a house away from the other rooms that were heated by fireplaces? Makes sense, right? Well, although the concept of the foyer has changed, I'm glad the room has remained. Nowadays it's seen as the space that says, "Hello...welcome...come on inside!" So when designing your foyer please take the time to make it spectacular. Focus on the most important elements which are a hanging light fixture, artwork or mirror, and chest or console table. Make sure they are pieces that are unique and different. Other things to add would be a rug, wallpaper, table lamps, and accessories. Take a look at some of my favorites.
